Al-Jawary Al-Hessan:
Pronounced all jawarie (as in aware) all hess ann (accent on ann). The name comes from ancient Arab poetry. The double use of “Al” is lyrical in Arabic poetry.

Troupe Al-Jawary Al-Hessan is an exciting and popular belly dance troupe, whose members are all professional dancers, and who perform in many New England venues, including clubs, showcases, bazaars, arts festivals, wedding receptions, etc.

We use many of the traditional props of Middle Eastern dance in different choreographies: zills, veils, canes, swords, jugs, to give a beautiful and memorable performance to traditional Middle Eastern music.

Al-Jawary Al-Hessan is directed and choreographed by Sardis, who has been dancing and teaching in the Boston area for over 15 years. She teaches at her studio in Medford, as well as at Springstep, a multi-cultural arts center in Medford.
